Most websites, maybe some, I don’t know how many exactly, if any at all, have archive pages to you know; archive information from pages that are no longer new or as we say around here, current (bad joke on our part regarding the community and its residents average age). We are kidding!
Anyway, here are the archived articles, tidbits of information, history, and what have you presented, as you might expect: alphabetically, by height.

1) The Social Committe had an amazing
GIANT COOKIE EXCHANGE at the Ramada on Saturday December 14.
Plates of cookies/bars were made to share and EAT! Recipes were shared and allergies were spared!
2) Yellow Sage Landscaping is no longer doing our landscape. The HOA and Copper Rose have decided to extend a 30-60 day trial period to M&M Landscaping. M&M will be doing a quarter of the property every week, randomly or by happenstance, each quarter will be done once a month in alphabetical order. This means it will take a full month to complete the property or by the time it is complete, it will be time to start again. Let’s see how it works out.
3) Please, please, please do clean up after your pets. It’s the best for everyone.
4) The Landscaping Committee has been disbanded. Going forward, sideways or upside down all landscaping requests and communications must go through Bel Garcia at Copper Rose.
5) Please be aware there is a small DC current on the North Side Pool Gate. Use shoes when opening the gate, we have contacted an electrician.
Seasonal Topic: Fall is HERE!
Sunday September 22 marked the official start of Fall. Although it was above 100, you may have noticed temps in the high 40’s at night during the second week of October. Going forward, we’d love to use your photos and ideas for the season, so go ahead and send us stuff!

Latest HOA Board News
This year’s Monsoon has brought much needed rain, but also its share of damage to our Mesquite Bosque. Too many have been damaged, but all in all things are well. The Landscape Committee is prioritizing the clean-up as follows:
1) Protection of residents’ homes
2) Health of the trees
3) Other damage
Additional details are on the Landscape Committee page.

Fallen Mesquites
Holy Bats! (and it’s not even Halloween) the ongoing monsoons are bringing us much needed rain and as you’ve seen, quite a bit of damage to our trees. The amount of damage is a bit much, but since we like to keep track of everything (minus our glasses, coffee cup and thoughts), here is a quick rundown or as the boxing coach I never had would like to say: tale of the tape:
– fallen tubular cactus branch at the entrance near 3230
– damaged large palo verde behind 3250 (mall in front of tennis courts)
– four of five mesquites damaged in the cul-de-sac by 7140 and 7150
– large palo verde behind 7139
– large mesquite bordering 3220 and the road as it turns west
– palo verde in front of the pool area facing east
Told you it was BATS!
Anyway, we’ve done the best we can to get the trees pruned and the area cleared, but it took a while. You may still see piles of debris into the week of August 12, but it will be cleared.
We put together some pictures to show you what we’ve dealt with and ask that you do let us know if you see damage or need assistance.
Known Damaged Trees (not yet pruned)

Thank you Monsoon 2024 and landscapers!

Summer Grass and Weeds
There is a new update in the Landscape page addressing the summer grass and weed control.
August 2024
Earlier
Earlier this month a large mesquite by 7150 suffered some damage after a storm. We secured Trees and Strategy to remove the fallen branches and preserve as much of the cactus as possible. Trees and Strategy handled the removal with extreme care and diligence. They are the best!
Going forward, we are prioritizing damage to the trees as follows:
1) Protection of residents’ homes
2) Health of the trees
3) Other damage
As such, please check this page for when damaged trees will be pruned. If you see damage, please use this link to contact management. If you believe it to be an emergency, use this link.
Eucalyptus (archived July 15, 2024)
You may have noticed that our large red river gum tree (main entrance south drive), is under stress. Scientifically known as a eucalyptus camaldulensis, the tree is native to Australia, and we were saddened to see it not flower last month.
The prior Board had the irrigation at the main entrance shut-off for almost a year and while we uncovered it in April, we did not realize it had taken its toll on the tree. We are aggressively watering it and will do all that we can to help it survive.
July 2024
Summer Grass (archived July 15, 2024)
After the issues with the well in May, we have been struggling to get the Bermuda grass to take hold.
While most of the lawns are very brown, our Landscapers believe our Summer Bermuda grass will recover in the next two weeks. They will be removing some thatch and hopefully, that will spur the growth.
Latest from Landscaping Committee (Updated Saturday June 15, 2024)
Earlier today we received confirmation from Alejandro the owner of Trees and Strategy that they have finished the Mistletoe Pruning Project! It took a day longer than planned and while there might be a mistletoe or two left behind, Maryann and Roberto are extremely pleased with the professionalism, timeliness and care provided to our community by Alejandro and his team at Trees and Strategy.
Managing vendors requires due diligence, planning, communication and oversight. The Board wants to acknowledge that without Maryann’s attention to detail and Dusty’s assistance, we would not have as successful an effort as we have received.
You will notice a few piles of debris left behind, that was us doing some additional cleanup and unplanned activities, because trees do what trees do and you can’t foresee everything. There is a fallen heavy Palo Verde branch by the alley on the south side cul-de-sac which the landscapers will address next week.
We welcome each of you to walk around and share your thoughts. We know you will all agree with us that the work from Trees and Strategy was exceptional!

Mistletoe Pruning Project Awarded (archived June 4, 2024)
The HOA Board has awarded the mistletoe removal proposal to: Trees and Strategy. It’s a very young and energetic company and we are very excited to have them as our vendor.
The work is scheduled to occur during the following days:
– Wednesday June 12 to Friday June 14 between the hours of 7AM-2PM
You will no doubt see them while they are here, feel free to make them feel welcome, but most important, be aware there might be large machinery and tree work requires careful attention.
Watering Issues (Updated June 15, 2024)
Although all watering issues have been resolved, we are still not seeing the Bermuda Grass kick-off as we had hopped. The grass is being watered twice daily and the landscapers are doing everything possible to help it grow.
The Landscape Commitee is monitoring this issue daily and we will have more information as we learn more about the issue.
If your grass is not being watered, please contact Copper Rose Management.
Summer Grass and Weeds Update (archived May – June 19)
All planed weed removal is complete. Any remaining weeds are left as they will die out shortly in the summer heat or are deemed as not needed to be removed. We want to let you know that although it’s very brown, the Summer Bermuda grass does not need any additional seeding or fertilizing. The process for the Bermuda grass to grow is as follows:
1) trim the winter Rye grass as low as possible
2) wait for a week of 90-degree weather
3) then heavy watering to snap growth
This has been completed on schedule.

Watering Issues (archived May 24, 2024)
You may have noticed this past week that the grass has been watered sparingly, if at all. This is because we had a mechanical problem with the well which provides water. All fixes have been made. If your grass is not being watered, please contact Copper Rose Management.
April 2024
SPRING is here and it’s a good time to remember that the wildlife is out and about. Just the other day some neighbors had a visitor! (King Snakes are harmless just give them room to move).
April 23rd HOA Board Meeting key points:
- In the past month the HOA Board has concerned itself with the following:
- The Landscape and Pool chairs have been active and will report on the state of their projects separately.
- The Website in the process of updating and license renewal (completed).

- A reminder to contact CharD@copperrosellc.com directly (contact information available on our website) with items needing immediate attention such as broken sprinklers and fallen tree branches blocking drives.
- The project to bring WIFI to the Ramada /pool area was tabled due to budget concerns.
- At the close of last month’s meeting, the Board established a Task Force to create a prioritized list of projects to be addressed.
- The next meeting of the board is Wednesday May 29.
