Landscape Thoughts
(updated Wednesday January 8, 2025)
We love trees.
We love mesquite trees.
We love our mesquite bosque and its trees.
Those are our thoughts.
Weeds Update
Apparently, weeds come around every year. Who knew?!? You may have noticed that in mid-December the common areas were painted green. The green stuff was not really paint, it was the latest and greatest anti-weed spray, which was 100% guaranteed to spray!
Anyway, if we don’t get rain, jajajaja, it may actually stop weeds from growing. (That’s what they told me!) Stay tuned for Spring 2025 and we will find out together!
Anyway, enough of the funny stuff, not sure it was funny, but it was stuff!
Latest from Landscaping
Fallen Mesquites
The damage from the summer 2024 monsoons was expertly cleared. That means we got some experts and cleared it.
We put together some pictures to show you what we’ve dealt with and ask that you do let us know if you see damage or need assistance.
Eucalyptus
(last update August 9, 2024)
Our large red river gum tree has recovered!
We’ve fixed the irrigation and hope that she will continue to improve. Most important, a BIG THANKS to Alejandro owner of Trees and Strategy, for giving us the right advise to water and not prune or cut.
A few pictures form the Mistletoe Pruning Project (June 2024)
Walking Trail (last update May 30, 2024)
The path is fully cleared, and we have started marking it with old railroad ties! We will have a “Paint My Tie” party in the next few weeks along with a ribbon cutting – get your scissors, walking shoes and brushes ready!
Overview of the trail and last clearing, May 25, 2024.

Broken Sprinklers
If you see a broken sprinkler, please take a picture to help us locate it and email Bel Garcia right away. As we no longer have a landscaping committee plugging the broken sprinklers, the sooner we let Bel know the better.
