A complete walkthrough was conducted in March and a number of homes were identified as being out of compliance, including some with missing house numbers at the back of their homes. Copper Rose has sent out noncompliance letters to those owners. If by chance you do not have your house number in the back of your home, please address it, as it is a Fire Department mandate.
Garage overhang shakes noncompliance letters have an erroneous 21 day, from the time of receipt, compliance requirement. Please be advised that the compliance period is actually 90-days from the date of the letter to make the necessary repairs, not 21 days.
The Board continues researching the use of synthetic shakes, but thus far the research has not yielded the expected results, as there are no local suppliers and cost is double or more of cedar shakes. The Board will continue its research, but to meet compliance, cedar shakes must be used until further notice.
If you wish to experiment with synthetic shakes, you must submit an Architectural and Common Area Landscaping Request (ARC) to the Board for consideration.
Most important, a BIG Thank You to all the homeowners who have brought their properties into compliance over the last few months.
ARCHITECTURAL and COMMON AREA LANDSCAPE REQUEST FORM
This FORM is to be used for the following requests:
1) Architectural Change that involves your house and/or other structures on your lot.
2) Landscape Request that involves common area plantings.
If your request is to paint your house using the HOA Board approved colors, no approval from your neighbors is required. Submission of requests does NOT guarantee that the Architectural Committee will approve the application. Support or opposition to your requests(s) are allowed by any homeowner and must be submitted in writing to the Copper Rose Community Management.
